You can now donate on special events via Shopee's Digital Product feature by following the steps below:

1. Access Your Shopee App:
Click on 'See More'. On the next page, choose the ‘Prepaid, Bills & Tickets’ icon and find the special event under the Donation & Finance category. 

• Look for the heart-shaped icon. The naming may vary depending on the fundraising event at the time.

• For example, the current Special Event is dedicated to Covid-19 fundraising for MyKasih Foundation, and you may find it named ‘Make A Wish’.

2. Enter Your Donation: Enter your donation amount (minimum amount: RM1) and select the specific event. You are advised to view the Special Event terms and conditions on the same page. Click “Continue” to proceed. 

3. Choose Your Donation Type:

You may donate as:

• Anonymous

• Personal

• Business

Note: You will not receive an official receipt from the charity organization if you donate anonymously.

Select “Personal” or “Business” to receive an official receipt from the charity organization. Please fill in the necessary information.

Information needed for an official receipt:

• Personal: Name, Email address
• Business: Company Name, SSM registration number, Email address

Official e-receipts will be issued by the charity organizations and sent to the email address you provide. Please ensure that your information is filled in correctly to avoid complications in e-receipt issuance.

4. Verify Donation Details: Always check the donation details to ensure all information is correct. Click “Yes, Continue” to proceed with the payment.

5. Choose Your Payment Option: Select from ShopeePay, Credit or Debit Card, Cash Payment at 7-Eleven, or Online Banking. Bank Transfers cannot be used for donations. Click “Pay Now” to complete your payment.

• Use ShopeePay for a faster checkout.

6. Payment Confirmation: Upon successful payment, a Payment Successful message will appear.

• Click on “View Order Details” to view your donation information. Also, tap “Order Received” to confirm the order.

7. Find Donation Confirmation: To find your in-app donation confirmation from Shopee, scroll down to the bottom of the Order Details page.

• Click on ‘Download Your Donation Confirmation’. Your confirmation will automatically download.

• Please note that this confirmation cannot be used for tax exemption purposes.

* Terms and Conditions for Special Event

1. This Donation Service on Shopee App is a one-off donation payment for the special event. 

2. All donation made at the Donation Service will be delivered to the participating charity organisation(s). 

3. Shopee reserves the right to allocate the donation to the participating charity organisations if there is more than one participating charity organisation. You will be notified with the official receipt issued by the respective charity organisation that received your donation within 14 days. 

4. You are responsible to ensure all information provided during the donation process is true and correct. You acknowledge and agree that the information provided will be shared with the selected organisations or charity bodies as part of the Donation Service, which among others, including the issuance of an official receipt to you, if applicable and all information shared will be in accordance with the Personal Data and Protection Act 2010.

5. The donation payment confirmation from Shopee is not an official receipt or tax-exempted receipt from the organisations or charity bodies. The respective charity organisations will issue such receipt to you. Please contact the respective charity organisations, should you have any questions. 

6. Donations to charity organisations that are not recognised by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (“LHDN”) are not entitled to tax relief. Please visit LHDN website for more information. The receipt from such an organisation, it will be based on the respective charity organisation’s policy.

7. There will be no refund once donation payment(s) made and will not be returned under any circumstances. 

8. You will not earn Shopee Coins for the amount paid for donation and you are not allowed to use voucher to offset donation amount. 

9. Shopee reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of the terms and conditions of this Terms and Conditions at any time at Shopee’s absolute discretion without prior notice.
